Pelvic Floor Treatments

  • Biofeedback
    Specialized equipment is used to improve pelvic floor muscles to treat stress incontinence, fecal incontinence, pelvic pain, and urinary urgency and frequency.
  • Trigger Point Injections
    Injections into specific areas of tenderness to decrease pain.
  • Pessary Fittings
    Fitting of supportive devices in the vagina which provide support of the pelvic floor.
  • Bladder Training
    Supervised program which, along with pelvic floor strengthening, can improved urinary frequency and urgency.

SURGICAL TREATMENT OPTIONS

  • Vaginal slings
    Minimally invasive procedure for stress incontinence involving permanent tape placed to support the urethra.
  • Laparoscopic pelvic reconstruction
    Can be treated vaginally or laparoscopically using high-tech minimally-invasive techniques.
  • Interstim® sacral neuromodulation
    Designed for patients with bladder conditions not helped by other therapies. FDA approved to treat severe urinary urgency and frequency and urge incontinence.
